I went ahead and investigated that situation that Kai had brought up yesterday, and...
He's right. He does look a lot like Scythe, but... It's not exactly the same. It might just be a coincidence, but I'm not sure. I'll ask Failnaught a bit about it. ... He also has the same taste in clothes, too. It's surreal.
Also, I did try against that system he had set up-- at his own offering, since I was pushing about it, but... Perhaps I was too much for it.

I almost felt sorry for the robot.

Not you, the almighty demon slayer.

Not to have it be blown up by my sorta-kinda older sister.
Aegis has more common sense than you.

I'm used to dealing with more stubborn machinery, recently.

Well I'm now going to be dragging you around town so you get some.

This is the guy in charge of those 'fake' dark games at LDS, yeah?

But yes, this is the same one.

I've been wondering what was up with that guy. This'd explain alot.

[Private to the Battleaxe]
They were... very unstable? Apparently enough that the younger one could synchro with an XYZ.
I'm more bothered why they'd try to recreate dark games without delving into magic, myself.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
Right now, it's clear to me that even if they attempt to do so, they'll never accurately recreate them even if they want to. And for what purpose is beyond me.
It does concern me that Kai experienced such an odd incident with it, though... And Synchro with an Xyz? Impossible.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
Hey, she 'believed really hard' in it.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
I handled it in one turn.

I do have a possible thought, however.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
As it was trying to simulate a Dark Game, it would have tried to respond to the possible feelings of the opponent.
As in, the reason that the Beagalltach AI responded strangely to Kai, is because Kai has a problem with Beagalltach. The real Beagalltach.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
Hnm.
I guess this'd be a good way for me to stretch my dueling muscles again since I think my youngest is still banned and I think the middle's life just exploded and my oldest may not be aware of anything that's not his weird conspiracies.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
My deck's great at faffing around until I get tired of it, I'll see if he's got any AIs that'll react to me.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
I'm going to try to see if I can get Failnaught's attention enough to listen to my own questions.
Re: [Private to the Battleaxe]
I owe you for helping my buddy out a bit.

No problem, then. It was where my home was, after all. We were prepared. You don't need to thank me for it.

What's the guy's name, again? OOPARTS has SpecInv's old records files and that was at a time where I was more hands-on with the cases, I can dig something up.

[Private to Labrys]
...Found him.
"Yamada Mamoru, suspected of possession, rampaged through Domino downtown shopping district. Found unconscious by SpecInv, likely due to unknown vigilante (later confirmed to be Alexandra Grant, wherabouts unknown). Restrained for public and personal safety in D.D. Cell #2, released after psychic examination revealed little to no memory remained of possessed period, under Victims of Magical Assault Good Faith Clause. No charges. Unknown magical artifact retrieved at scene of collapse, inert."
[Assume there's a picture of his mugshot here]
Same guy Scythe possessed. Doesn't look -too- different though. Lost the glasses and apparently decided sleep was something he could do without, but otherwise there's no real evidence of appearance radically shifting after the incident.
Re: [Private to Labrys]
It's just bizarre, that he looks so similar to him-- especially before. The glasses do make a difference, but he lacks the gaunt expression he had now.
Failnaught suspects some original sampling may be in place here, but to be that similar to this extent is unusual even to him. He said he'd have to see him himself to really be certain of it.
Though I somewhat imagine I'm not exactly welcome anymore around him.
Re: [Private to Labrys]
...I could maybe go in to mediate, but I'm trying to keep my distance on a personal level. Though, admittedly, Mamoru's tests are something I've wanted to examine myself for some time, out of both concern and curiosity.
That said, does he in fact blame you for wrecking the system, these kind of things happen often with prototypes, speaking from experience, there might not be that big of a grudge.
Re: [Private to Labrys]
... though, to be fair, we don't exactly have much experience in terms of how humans could look like us, or even be compatible with us. Those like Kai, Koyo, even Alexandra, or even the fact that Scythe had managed to possess this "Mamoru"... before recently, it was unheard of.
Then why don't you examine them, even separate from my own concerns?
The way Kai put it, my actions seemed to put him through an incredible amount of stress.
Re: [Private to Labrys]
...I'm probably gonna have to. I was gonna be content to collect what info I could in secret, but Sullivan's cover got blown, which means I should probably just talk to him about it.
That does raise some... unique concerns, but it could just be bleed-over between the Human world and the 12 Dimensions. It's been known to happen before, on occasion. Time shit gets weird when you factor in that.
The possession, though, now that you mention it, is very out of character for you guys. Might be time to look back into the particulars of that case.
Re: [Private to Labrys]
I think I should still keep my distance for now, even if you say he won't hate me for it, but if you'd want to, you can escort Failnaught to the location so he can speak with him.
And yes, possession in itself is a strange thing. But... Scythe was also not himself, I imagine.

Re: [Private to Labrys]
Even if I have to convince him to go for it at all.
